1. INTRODUCTION

This PAIA (Promotion of Access to Information Act) document outlines the procedures and guidelines for the online buy and sell platform, Bullion Link, which operates under South African legislation. 2. OBJECTIVES

3. INFORMATION OFFICER

4. INFORMATION REQUEST PROCEDURE

4.1. Any person requesting access to information held by the online buy and sell platform can submit a written request to the Information Officer via email.

4.2. The request should include the following information:

4.2.2. Sufficient details to enable the identification of the requested information.

4.3. The requester may also specify the form in which they wish to receive the information if it is readily available. The online buy and sell platform will respond to the request within 30 days from the receipt of the request, as required by the PAIA.

5. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL

Access to information may be refused under specific circumstances as outlined in the PAIA, which includes but is not limited to:

- Protecting personal information.

- Preserving commercial confidentiality.

- Safeguarding national security or defence.

- Protecting law enforcement operations.

- Prejudicing negotiations or legal proceedings.

6. APPEALS

If a requester's access to information is denied, they have the right to appeal the decision within 30 days following the receipt of the refusal notice. Appeals should be submitted in writing to the designated Information Officer. The Information Officer will then review the appeal and provide a response within 30 days.

7. CONCLUSION
